Clothing carries more than fabric — it carries memory. Through our Pledge a Garment program, families and individuals can donate garments from loved ones, knowing their history will be respectfully recorded, preserved, and shared with Western Australia's creative community.

This program is active and accepting garment pledges year-round.

Each pledged garment becomes part of a living archive, allowing the story of the person who wore it to continue through film, theatre, and creative productions.

Many garments hold deep personal significance — a dress worn to a milestone event, a suit tailored with care, a piece that reflects someone's character, era, or style. Instead of being stored away or lost over time, these garments can be given a new life.

How we record garment history

When a garment is pledged, we invite donors to share any details they wish — who wore it, when it was made, what it meant, or the moments it was part of. This information is:

  • ◆Preserved alongside photographs and garment details
  • ◆Made available to designers and productions as part of its story
  • ◆Treated with dignity and accuracy

How we care for donated garments

Every pledged garment is:

  • ◆Soft-washed using our preservation-focused cleaning process
  • ◆Catalogued with its history
  • ◆Stored in our climate-controlled facility
  • ◆Integrated into our curated hire collection

What we accept
